Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th, 1956 at Woodland Hills California. Her father taught in the school system while her mother was a stay-at-home mother. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick has always loved singing, dancing and creating puppet shows. Her rise to fame as a fairytale started when she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6. This led to a call from the talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her whether she wanted to be in show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her first major role in 1964 in an tv commercial featuring Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for The Wind It Up and It's Breaks at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from a field of 1200 children who auditioned for the role of the oldest of three towheaded daughters in the upcoming TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick wrote in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost losing her virginity in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. In 2008, McCormick disclosed in her book Here's the story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice, that during season five of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to Barry Williams. The two of us could have been in a couple, she added. However, the timing was not right.
